We did it!! Through Indigogo we managed to raise the $2500 we aspired to to complete our debut CD. Artwork is being completed as we speak and digital copies of the album can be bought from Bandcamp by clicking HERE. A HUGE thanks to everyone who donated to this cause on-line and directly...not possible without your support. CD release party is taking shape stay tuned for details. May 10/2012
CD release date has been confirmed!!! June 21 at The Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver. ZimbaMoto will be supporting us and lifting the roof as well. It'll be a hot, hot night for sure. Mark it in your calendars. We just had a great photoshoot a few days ago with Diane Smithers and the pics look great. Everything is coming together. Just 5 days left in our crowdfunding campaign (above)....please contribute if you feel like it...you will be rewarded! March 18/2012
As you can see from the above widget, we have launched our on-line "crowdfunding" campaign. Please check it out and contribute or at least spread the word around the world if you can. Curtis is back from 2 months in India and good things on the horizon. 3 days in the studio with Paul Shatto at Vogville Studios in late November yielded some tasty fruit. We have 10 tracks ready to release!! Now we need to do some fundraising to get this baby out by June hopefully. Stay tuned (or join our mailing list) for info on a fundraising gig in later March and release details. ZimbaMoto will be doing a CBC radio recording/concert on Mar.2 which will be recorded for CBC radio as well as on video for web broadcast. Details at right. And some summer gigs for Zhambai are in the works. Nov.23/2011
Thanks to everyone who came out to the recent show at Cafe Deux Soleils...sold out and people dancing on the tables!! That is what we like to see. Music and vibe felt great. This Thursday, Zhambai will head in Vogville Studios to record a bunch of music with Paul Shatto. This is through a demo grant program we availed of via MusicBC. Should sound good! |
